70 years ago, on January 27th, 1945 the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated by the Soviet Red Army troops. About 1.5 million people, most of them Jews, were killed at the infamous camp, but following its liberation approximately 200,000 inmates managed to survive; not without damage, as they remember their family members that did not.
